❓ How it works & FAQ
A free random name picker with a twist
Paste your names, then let a bird fly over the crowd and poop on the winner, or make the names race as horses, dogs, birds or turtles. Pick giveaway winners, run office raffles, choose a random student or split teams.
Is The Randomizer free?
Yes. It is free, needs no sign-up and works in the browser on phones, tablets and computers.
Is the winner really random?
Yes. The winner is drawn with your browser's cryptographic random number generator before the animation starts, so every name has exactly the same chance.
How do I add names?
Paste or type them one per line or separated by commas. Use Shuffle to mix the order, and add as many names as you need.
Can I pick several winners?
Yes. Turn on "Remove winner from list" and run another round. Each winner is taken out, which is handy for giveaways with more than one prize.
What can I use it for?
Instagram and Facebook giveaways, office raffles, picking a random student in class, choosing who goes first, team picks and party games.
Are my names uploaded anywhere?
No. Your list stays in your own browser and is never sent to our server.
